SCENTSable Notes
Some of the most memorable advertisements I see are for perfumes. Fun, luxurious, emotional, and electrifying, they evoke great tradition. When I smell the drops of perfume smashed between the folds of a magazine I am immediately taken back to a memory. With Chanel No. 5 I am completely eraptured with thoughts of my grandmother who wore it for decades. She always smelled of Chanel and upheld the scent with her amazing style and charisma. Not only do these advertisements take us to memories or places with the scents they hold, they also inspire us and stylize our lives by featuring models, actresses, giant bottles, animals and more. With each scent a personality is born, it is a huge decision to make and the perfumers and advertisers know this, making the advertisements reflect the woman who would were it perfectly, by showing her with a little added aspiration, charisma, sensuality, or craze! So take a look a some of my more recently favorite perfume advertisements and decide which woman you are!

At the Ritz Paris
This is one of the most glamourous, inspiring and mesmerizing photoshoots that I have come across. Before closing its doors for renovations the RITZ PARIS allowed Kate Moss, Vogue and Haute Couture to enter and amaze. Photographer Tim Walker, hairdresser Julien d'Ys, makeup artist Stephane Marais, set designer Andy Hillman and Vogue orchestrated and envisioned this stunning masterpiece of fashion art. The hotel is known for hosting some of the worlds most famous fashion shows and a favorite of iconic designers including Coco Chanel, Oscar De La Renta, Gianni Versace, and Karl Lagerfeld. Prepare to be enraptured!

Print and Pattern: Mary Katrantzou & Diane Von Furstenbeg
The combination of unique vivid shapes full of color can redefine an outfit. In my opinion the two best designers at exploring print and pattern are Mary Katrantzou & Diane Von Furstenberg. Each has a unique way of dressing the body with prints, developing new artworks to be transferred to fabric and then cut into garments. They have trademarks that define their looks, each is distinctly unique and vibrant.
“I wanted to use waves of color in this collection—but taken from things you use in everyday life,” said Mary Katrantzou
More of a legend than a rising and evolving star is Diane Von Furstenberg, the queen of print and color since the mid 70's. She has had a constant success for color combination, luxurious materials, and discovering and evoking the essence of beauty in the women she dresses. An advocate of several philanthropic groups including Vital Voices, and an author of several books, she is a well rounded women who will continue to enhance our world with pattern and perfection.

Color of the Month: Emerald GREEN
On this the 31st of March I want to unveil what I believed to be the pop color of the month. With March always being a month full of color with the transition into Spring, it wasn't easy to narrow it down. Bright orange, canary yellow, and fusia pink were found all over the stores, but with St. Patty's day and the marketing, fashion, and fun that goes with it I have chosen Emerald Green as the color of March.
